Trae Young was one of the most polarizing players in the NBA Draft. Some project him as the next Steph Curry, while others think he’ll struggle in the league because he’s undersized and can’t defend.
The Hawks were bullish on Young and scooped him up with the 3rd pick in the draft, and last night Young made his summer league debut against the Grizzlies. It was a rough one. Young finished with 16 points, but was an abysmal 1-11 from three, including some bad takes and even worse misses. It’s just the Summer League but this isn’t the debut he was looking for.
