Leading The U, 10-7 at halftime, Pitt Head Coach Pat Narduzzi raised some eyebrows by foregoing the safe “coach speak” in favor of a bold guarantee his team would hang on to pull the season wrecking upset over the Canes.
Narduzzi referenced the 2006 home upset of then #2 West Virginia, which blew up the Mountaineers’ title chances, and declared history would repeat itself, today.
It’s not often you see coaches provide bulletin board material in the halftime interview, but you need swag to take down the Turnover Chain.
Watch Narduzzi call his shot.
