Tiger and Phil held a press conference as they eye their November 23, $9 million winner-take-all PPV head-to-head at Shadow Creek in Vegas. Leading up to the event, Mickelson has eluded to some significant side action between he and Tiger and at today’s press conference for ‘The Match’ they officially locked in a six-figure side bet.

Mickelson first betting $100,000 bet that he’ll birdie the first hole. Tiger immediately responded by raising the bet to $200,000 and explaining that he felt confident with the action because the hole will penalize Phil if he sprays it left. The two confirmed that these bets are coming out of their own pockets, so it’s real cash betting between two legends.

It might be worth the $19.99 PPV price just to listen to these to talk tradh over big money shots.

Did Phil just bet Tiger Woods $200,000 that he’d birdie the 1st hole of “The Match”?
