Pat Mahomes went viral for like the 300th time this season when he completed an impossible Favre-like no-look pass against the Ravens, but he’s actually been doing it for a while now.

Football analyst and former Oklahoma State QB Zac Robinson dug up a couple of examples from Mahomes time at Texas Tech where he busted out the no-look, including using it for a clutch 4th quarter, 3rd down conversion to keep the Red Raiders alive in a one score game in 2016 against Robinson’s Cowboys, in Stillwater. In terms of pressure and situation, this throw is more impressive than last week’s.

The earliest evidence of Mahomes going no-look is from a 2016 Kliff Kingsbury Twitter post during spring practice that includes a video of his then-QB breaking out the lookaway. It’s pretty clear this is just something he does naturally, and not something he came up with to go “viral.” Mahomes is a different dude.
