In the spirit of Randy Johnson detonating a bird with a perfectly timed 100 MPH heater during a 2001 spring training game, another bird just got murdered during an exhibition game between Manchester United and the San Jose Earthquakes.
The bird in this case met its unfortunate demise when it got a too comfortable on the pitch and couldn’t successfully fly away when the action got close. He ended up in a bad spot and was tagged by Man U defender Matteo Darmian’s clearance.
There’s no fairy tale ending here. The bird died immediately. Life is cruel. Here’s the execution.
