Kirk Cousins said he was as shocked as anyone to find out that the Redskins pulled off a trade for Alex Smith with the Chiefs. The move may have spelled the end of Cousins’ days as the starting quarterback for the Redskins, but apparently he has a sense of humor over the situation.
Instead of sulking over losing his job, Cousins decided to star in a weird local commercial for a D.C. fireplace store with ‘Donald Trump,’ who refers to Smith as ‘Sneaky Alex’ and calls Cousins ‘Kurt.’ It ends with POTUS offering Cousins the newly created cabinet position of Secretary of Offense before accidentally hitting the nuclear button.
If you think about it, what does Cousins have to be mad about? He’s about to get a massive contract and likely head to a better team. Local TV commercials are a weird place.
