Johnny Manziel has embarked on his pro football comeback, and offered some insight into his mindset interview with Good Morning America.
A newly engaged Johnny Football spoke openly about his battles with substance abuse and depression and accepted responsibility for the hard partying that ended up seeing him bounced all the way from the NFL to Coachella and wrecked L.A. mansions. He revealed that he has been medically diagnosed as bipolar and is taking medication to treat it.
“[I’m] Watching other guys doing what I want to be doing, and I’m sitting on the couch being a loser.”
He did not address anything regarding domestic violence allegations against his ex-girlfriend that landed him in legal trouble.
Johnny sounds like he’s in a far better place than the ‘going to Vegas dressing in a blonde wig’ days, but he’ll have to walk the walk for a long time, likely in the CFL, before getting another crack at the NFL. He acknowledges as much.
Best of luck to staying straight in his comeback szn.
