Browns receiver Jarvis Landry destroyed Bills corner Taron Johnson with a crushing blindside block on a Carlos Hyde goal line TD run in Friday night’s preseason game, and many of the Bills weren’t happy about it.

Some of the anger from the Bills locker room may be due to the fact that it wasn’t the first time Landry victimized a Bills defender with a crushing run block. Back in Week 7 of the 2016, Landry – while playing for the Dolphins – laid out then safety Aaron Williams with a similarly devastating hit while blocking on a Jay Ajayi run.
Williams was knocked out of the game due to the hit and placed on IR shortly thereafter. Landry was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play. Williams never played in the NFL after 2016, and some Buffalo players credit this shot from Landry as a key contributing factor in ending his career.
One thing is for sure, you can’t criticize Landry for being unwilling to block. Sweet Jesus, this is a shot. It’s not hard to see why Buffalo players haven’t forgot about it.
