Most people know Mike Piazza as a Hall of Fame catcher, but he’s also the owner of the Italian Serie C soccer club A.C. Reggiana. Recently Piazza held a press conference with assembled Italian press to air his grievances with local city officials because he felt he was getting squeezed unfairly for rent at Reggiana’s stadium after investing heavily in the community.
Piazza absolutely went OFF on local city government officials for screwing him over, demanded respect, and called the treatment of his team ‘bull—-!’ You don’t need the translator to figure out he’s pissed.
Piazza is finding out it’s a lot easier to handle major league pitching staffs than corrupt local European governments. That being said, he definitely gets his money’s worth here.
