The Masters is the last place you would expect to see a nasty sports injury, but that’s exactly what happened when Tony Finau got a hole-in-one at the 7th during today’s Par 3 contest.
After holing out, Finau appeared to dislocate his ankle while running down the fairway in celebration. It apparently wasn’t as bad as it looked because he just popped it back in to place like it was no big deal.
On the Gordon Hayward scale of ankle injuries, this is about a 5, but still, damn. He looked fine afterwards, but it’s unclear if he will play when things kick off for real at Augusta, tomorrow. Don’t watch this if you’re squeamish. You’ve been warned.
