31-year-old “free solo” climber Alex Honnold became the first climber to scale the massive 3,000 foot face of Yosemite’s El Capitan without the aid of any ropes or safety gear.
A 60 Minutes profile piece showed footage from the climb that would terrify most people, and now there’s a new documentary from National Geographic detailing the historical climbing feat with more breathtaking footage. He can literally die at any second, but doesn’t seem to have a care in the world. Some people are just wired differently. Here’s the trailer.
