One thing has become clear after 3 days of Jets/Redskins joint practices. They really don’t like each other. After a mini-brawl on Sunday broke out after a late hit, things got heated again during this morning’s session after Washington corner Montae Nicholson won his 1-v-1 practice rep against Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor by getting a pass break up.
The play sent the Redskins sideline into a frenzy and led to Washington safety D.J. Swearinger making his way onto the field to trash talk Pryor. As Swearinger closed in on Pryor, he threw a fake punch that got the converted QB to flinch that drew a hyped reaction form the crowd on hand.
This would be a 15-yard penalty in a game, but also Pryor would be assessed two for flinching. Maybe these teams should just line up and fight already. It looks like it’s heading in that direction.
