A’s slugger Khris Davis entered Monday’s game against the Rangers with 36 home runs, but his 37th meant more than all the rest.
After speaking to a group of Make-A-Wish kids before the game, Davis got his jersey signed by a brave young kid named Anthony Slocumb. In a moment right out of a Hollywood movie script, Davis then proceeded to launch a 438-foot bomb in the third inning to cap Anthony’s night with probably the coolest moment of the baseball season. It was just meant to be.
Warning, get a tissue before watching this. You’ll need it.
