Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri is playing in his 23rd NFL season, and god it feels like he’s been around forever. How old is Vinatieri? He’s so old there’s a video circulating of him running down also ancient Herschel Walker from behind for a tackle on a kickoff in 1996 in Dallas.
Vinatieri, a rookie at the time, definitely earned some points with Bill Parcells for the chasedown. Everyone in this clipi has been retired for 15+ years, which makes it all the more impressive that Vinatieri is still one of the best kickers in the league two decades in.
