If there was ever a kid who should keep a copy of his birth certificate in his back pocket, it’s Canadian 12-year-old Oliver Rioux. Born in 2006, Rioux is already an astounding 7’0” and dominating his regular sized competition. To make things even less fair, the league shown in the below highlights uses 8-foot rims, so he doesn’t even have to jump to throw down.
Rioux’s coordination is comparable to a baby giraffe, and he’s built like a telephone pole, but his highlights are still a blast to watch. It’s impossible to tell if he has a pro future. At this point, he looks a lot more like the next Chuck Nevitt than the next Shaq.
