Hurricane Florence is currently a Category 4 hurricane bearing down on the Carolinas, with the potential to be the largest storm to hit the area in the region in the past thirty years.

As far as hurricanes go, Florence is massive and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric (NOAA) provided some jaw-dropping perspective on the scope of the storm in a timelapse video of one of its research planes flying through the eye. This video is beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
