Why isn’t McVay getting crushed like Belichick for not playing Gurley?
Last year Bill Belichick was unrelentingly criticized by the media following the Patriots Super bowl loss to the Eagles for benching cornerback Malcolm Butler, but Sean Mcvay has mostly gotten a free pass after sitting MVP candidate running back Todd Gurley for most of Super Bowl LIII.
Gurley was reportedly healthy and there haven’t been any good reasons provided by the Rams for his lack of playing time. Either he was healthy and didn’t play, or the Raams lied about his injury status, but no one seems interested in getting the bottom of it. Colin thinks this shows the media bias against the Patriots and the double standard that exists in the media.
