Jason Whitlock is in for Colin.

As a shoe company, Big Baller Brand is dead before arrival

Lonzo Ball has made headlines recently by ditching his $495 Big Baller Brand shoes in favor of other brands during the summer league. While many are claiming this is all part of LaVar Ball’s master marketing plan, Whitlock thinks it proves Big Baller Brand is a flop as a shoe company.

He thinks that LaVar has cost Lonzo millions of dollars by pursuing the fool’s proposition of challenging the biggest shoe companies. He thinks it’s the first signs of Lonzo attempting to distance himself from his father’s sideshow and seek independence.

It’s unpopular to say the Big Baller Brand is a total flop, but in terms of it being a viable shoe company, it’s the only conclusion to draw.

“Congratulations LaVar, you created a t-shirt company.”

Ryan Lochte’s reputation was ruined based on a lie

Ryan Lochte created an international incident when he and some teammates trashed a bathroom at a Rio gas station during some late-night drunken shenanigans at the Olympics. Recently, Brazilian authorities dropped all charges against Lochte, but his reputation is already destroyed.

Despite no charges being brought, Lochte was labeled as the face of white privilege and the “ugly American” during the social media pile-on that immediately followed the breaking news. He’ll never be able to shake those labels.

Even if apologies were offered, they couldn’t undo the damage that’s been done in an effort to chase retweets and likes.

Guests:

Chris Broussard – FS1 NBA Analyst is in-studio to discuss Lonzo’s Summer League performance; why he thinks Lonzo wearing other brand shoes is a ploy to get a marketing deal; and why L.A. makes sense for LeBron.

Michael Vick – Former NFL quarterback is in-studio to discuss his personal growth after being released from prison; the issues facing superstars today; and why he doesn’t believe Colin Kaepernick is being blackballed from the NFL.

Evan Rosenblum – TMZ Sports joins the show to give the latest updates on Ezekiel Elliott’s alleged altercation with a nightclub DJ.
