Welcome to Sam’s Club
Sam Darnold threw a pick 6 on his first NFL pass, but then proceeded to shred the Lions on the road in an eye-popping 48-17 blowout road win over the Lions in his NFL debut.
Colin was one of the first on the Darnold bandwagon, because he has NFL tools, but also because he has the even keeled temperament that it takes to be a top NFL QB. Darnold was the best quarterback in the draft and last night he showed why the Browns and Giants will regret passing on him for years to come.
Nothing about Matt Patricia says ‘NFL Head Coach’
The flip side of Sam Darnold’s incredible regular season debut on Monday Night Football was the equally unimpressive first game for Matt Patricia as Lions’ Head Coach in the 48-17 route.
It’s no secret that Colin has never been a fan of “backwards hat guy,” and Colin thought Patricia, with his backwards lid and disheveled appearance, just doesn’t look the part of an NFL head coach.
More problematically, he doesn’t coach like it, either.
