Warriors rumors sounds like a LeBron leak
The NBA world was buzzing this morning, after a story reported that LeBron James would consider a move to the Warriors if they opened up a max salary slot. Colin doesn’t believe there’s any real chance LeBron winds up with Golden State, and thinks the sexy rumor smells like another poorly veiled leak from LeBron’s camp to voice his displeasure with the current dysfunctional state of the Cavs.
Colin has always supported player mobility, and was one of the lone national voices to defend LeBron’s move to Miami, but joining up with the Dubs would be ring chasing of the highest order and would do nothing to further James’ legacy. From Golden State’s side of the equation, they seem to being doing fine without him.
Belichick could retire with another Super Bowl win
Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are days away from their 8th Super Bowl together, and some have speculated that either Brady or Belichick, or both, could go out on top and retire if the Patriots win another title.
Colin thinks Brady’s documentary Tom vs. Time shows that he isn’t close to hanging it up, but Belichick’s uncharacteristically pleasant demeanor during Super Bowl week are the actions of someone wanting to enjoy the stage one last time before retirement.
Colin thinks there is a 50/50 chance that Belichick if New England wins.
