Colin says there is no logical argument against saying that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all-time. People that argue to the contrary are clueless. Some people will argue Joe Montana, but when you compare his regular season, postseason, and Super Bowl résumé to Brady’s, it’s not even close. Brady is the G.O.A.T.
“Folks. It’s not even a debate any more. There is no more debate. People don’t do their homework if they do debate it.”
The Jamie Collins trade proves once again that most pro athletes are disposable commodities that have short careers, no power or say in where they play, and usually broke 5 years after they’re out of the league. Collins now heads from the NFL penthouse to purgatory, and that’s that.
Tonight’s World Series Game 6 is the biggest baseball game in terms of magnitude. It’s an elimination game, there isn’t any direct competition from any other sports. It’s baseball’s night tonight. Colin still thinks the best thing for baseball is the Cubs losing, because baseball doesn’t have any more compelling stories to tell.
“The best thing for baseball is the Cubs lose tomorrow night. Because baseball does not do a great job of creating stories. The NBA gives you a new one every year. The NFL gives you a new one every week. Baseball is not great when it comes ot creating stories. This is the last great national baseball story.”
Colin sees so many parents spending half their lives running around to kids’ athletic events, with the dream that their kid might be a professional athlete. Get a grip. Your kid isn’t going pro, but they have a 100% chance of being productive if parents emphasize academics. Sorry to kill your dream, but save yourself the time and enjoy your weekend, instead of going to a baseball tournament in Bakersfield.
“Study. Go home. Get out of the car. Be social. Have a life. You will not be special as a pro athlete.”
Ronda Rousey recently said that her upcoming return match is going to be one of her last. You can’t be half-way in on UFC, and if she has that mindset, she could get destroyed.
“If Ronda Rousey’s mind set is, ‘This is one of my last fights,’ she’s retired. She’s one foot out the door. You can’t be in halfway on UFC. “
Colin’s Week 8 Herd Hierarchy is out. The Vikings are falling due to their recent struggles with their offensive line, and Tom is still terrific.
