The Seahawks owed Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks agreed to a massive 4-year/$140 million extension last night, after Wilson imposed an April 15 deadline to reach a long term deal, and Colin thinks Wilson’s hardball contract tactics were brilliant, and Seattle owed him.

Wilson turned around the sputtering franchise when he entered the league, but for some reason has never gotten the respect from teammates, Pete Carroll, and the front office to match what will be a Hall of Fame career. This contract helps turn the page and makes Russ the unquestioned leader of the franchise. It was smart for Seattle to pay up and move ahead.

Also:

– Patrick Beverly already inside KD’s head

– Ben Simmons has Cam Newton-like inconsistency

– Colin’s big NBA bet
