The Packers are done without Aaron Rodgers, and forget about signing Tony Romo

Aaron Rodgers Is likely done for the year after breaking his collarbone against the Vikings, and some people are trying to convince themselves that at 4-2, they still have a chance to make the playoffs. Colin thinks their season is done because, besides Rodgers, they have an average roster that’s banged up from top to bottom. They just don’t have enough good players to make a run.

Some people are throwing out the idea of trying to sign a quarterback, including Tony Romo. to stay in contention, but Green Bay isn’t the kind of organization that would bring in an outsider as a stop gap.

Also, Colin’s sources tell him that a Romo return to the NFL is unlikely because he believes if he leaves the booth, Peyton Manning will take his prime spot next to Jim Nantz.

It’s not what Packer fans want to hear, but this season is done.

Matt Ryan is Andy Dalton in a dome

Colin wasn’t high on the Falcons before the year and thought that Matt Ryan’s MVP type season last year was more of an outlier than an indication of things to come. He took tons of heat for his stance, but six weeks into this season, Ryan only has 6 touchdowns, to go along with 6 interceptions, and has looked average.

Ryan’s stats this year are more comparable to Andy Dalton than any of the top quarterbacks, and Ryan has above average weapons around him, including the best wide receiver in the league in Julio Jones. Ryan and the Falcons are good not great.
