The Lakers are just trolling LeBron now

The Lakers have never been comfortable with the idea of LeBron James taking over control of the franchise and opted to hire journeyman coach Frank Vogel instead of James’ favorite Ty Lue to replace Luke Walton. The Lakers chaotic front office has disintegrated to the point where Kurt Rambis, his wife, and Phil Jackson have more input into the coaching search than James. None have a track record of any notable front office success. The Vogel hire feels like Jeanie Buss is going out of her way to troll LeBron to make it clear he isn’t in control, even if it means continued incompetence and chaos. So, why get LeBron in the first place?
