The Giants need to accept that they need a total rebuild
The New York Giants have the second pick in the draft after a dismal 2017, but they still haven’t admitted they are in need of a total rebuild, not just a quick fix.
Colin thinks they need to admit that an overhaul is in order, sooner than later, so they can make deals to get more picks and assets needed for a total overhaul. The Giants are a proud franchise, but the reality is they are nowhere near being able to compete for the NFC East with Philly. They don’t even have close to as much talent as Dallas. They need to embrace the idea of a total rebuild and start making deals to get more picks.
Ndamukong Suh will work with the Rams
The Rams signed Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and even though Suh has been a headache for every team he has played for, Colin doesn’t think he’ll be a problem in L.A.
The fact that the Rams signed him to a 1-year deal gives him an incentive to produce because he’s in a contract year. Also, Suh will be paired with the best defensive lineman in football, Aaron Donald, and L.A. and head coach Sean McVay have a stable enough locker room to take him on if he’s out of line. Suh to the Rams sounds like trouble, but it should be a home run acquisition.
