The Celtics are the next pro sports dynasty
The Warriors are favored to win their fourth title in five years as the NBA regular season gets underway, but Colin thinks the Dubs dynasty comes to an end this year at the hands of the always up and coming Celtics.
Boston is excellent, top to bottom, in everything from coaching, to players, to front office. They showed how far ahead of the Sixers in the opener and look primed for a long stretch of title runs if they can stay healthy. It all starts now.
OBJ not to blame for passing on Sam Darnold
Eli Manning is no longer a functional NFL starting quarterback, and Odell Beckham has become especially vocal about it in the media, so much so that team owner John Mara clapped back that he wished Beckham would make more headlines on the field than through the press.
Colin thinks Odell Beckham popping off shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone and doesn’t believe he’s causing the organization’s dysfunction. The real problem is that ownership lacked the courage to kill the Eli Manning era and draft Sam Darnold when they had the chance. Saquon Barkley has been brilliant, but that doesn’t win games or dictate culture. The Giants and Mara will be kicking themselves for passing on Darnold for the next decade.
