Stop freaking out over Golden State’s dominance
The Warriors will win their 3rd title in 4 years if they can beat the Cavs in Cleveland tonight, and fans are already saying Golden State has ruined the league by forming an unbeatable superteam.
Colin thinks fan anger toward the Warriors is misplaced because the NBA has never really had parity to begin with. From Jordan’s Bulls, to the Shaq and Kobe Lakers, to the Spurs, to the Big 3 Heat, the league has always had dynasties. The Warriors are just the latest. The common thread with every dynasty is they don’t last as long as people think they will. Golden State has already show cracks this year, and almost lost to the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals. Stop freaking out, we’ve seen this all before.
LeBron sounds relieved and he should be
During a press conference between games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals, LeBron was in a particularly relaxed, joking mood, despite the Cavs finding themselves on the verge of a Finals sweep and another loss to Golden State. Colin thinks he knows why.
He believes James has accepted his fate that beating the loaded Warriors isn’t in the cards this year, and he’s already mentally moved on to leaving the Cavs and starting the next chapter of his career. He also fulfilled his primary promise to bring a title to Cleveland and has done everything he can with subpar support. LeBron sounds like he’s in a good place, and he should be.
