Stop comparing Kyler Murray to Russell Wilson

Kyler Murray measured in at NFL Combine today at 5’10 1/8 and 207 pounds, which was better than the worst case height/weight scenario. Many fans and media immediately began comparing Murray to Russell Wilson, who measured in at 5’10 5/8 and 204 pounds at his combine.

Colin thinks the comparison is off base because Murray bulked up from a playing weight of around 190 to 207 and Wilson slimmed down from a playing weight of around 225 lbs to run a better 40 time. Wilson has been used as a comp for seemingly any undersized QB coming into the draft for the last five years, but he’s the outlier, not the rule.

Also:
– Nick Foles fits the Giants perfectly

– Witten un-retirement reaction

– Lakers’ best case scenario for the season still isn’t good

Guests:

Chris Haynes – Yahoo Sports Senior NBA Writer; John Lynch – San Francisco 49ers President
