Rockets cross the line by publicly leaking ref complaint memo
Following a disappointing Game 1 Western Conference semi-finals, James Harden was quick to blame the officials for not giving him calls he’s accustomed to getting during the regular season, and now the front office is getting into the act.
Yesterday, a detailed memo prepared by the team was leaked to the media, and Colin thinks it crosses the line and completely misses the point. The reality is that playoff basketball is always more physical because the experienced officiating crews, and the memo fails to include that Houston was 0-22 from three at one point during the game. The Rockets need to focus more on adapting to the officiating – and the Warriors – instead of constantly publicly moaning about ref analytics. This attempt to publicly embarrass the league is a bad look from the entire organization, and won’t have the desired effect they want..
