Rivera choosing the Redskins was a mistake
Ron Rivera was instantly in high demand after being let go by Carolina’s new owner David Tepper, but surprised many by quickly agreeing to a deal to coach a losing Redskins franchise. Colin thinks Rivera is an excellent NFL coach, but made a bad decision going to coach an unproven QB in Dwayne Haskins and all the organizational instability constantly surrounding Washington thanks to meddling owner Dan Snyder. Rivera would have been considered a top candidate for practically all of the head coach openings, he should have waited for a better situation. He’ll regret the move.
