The Lakers need Lonzo Ball more than he needs the Lakers
There have been leaked reports recently that the Lakers are not sold on drafting Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick. Colin thinks it’s a bad sell job by the Lakers, and Ball is the only option, for a number of reasons.
The Lakers need Ball more than he needs the Lakers. He’s not only the perfect pass-first point guard for the young roster, and could make L.A. more appealing to potential high end free agents, but would also instantly provide the Lakers with the star power they’ve sorely lacked since Kobe before he signed his last contract.
The Lakers can deny their interest. This is happening.
“Lonzo to the Lakers is happening.”
These Warriors would dominate the ‘95 – ‘96 Chicago Bulls
A Finals sweep of the Cavs would would cap a 16-0 playoff run for the Warriors, and the specualtion about their place among the best teams in league history has already begun. Regardless of the Warriors final record, there will always be Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls fans that refuse to be persuaded that there is a better team than the ’96 Bulls.
Vegas has weighed in on the potential matchup and gives the edge to Golden State.
Colin thinks the Warriors would dominate the great Chicago teams for the same reason they are dominating an impressive Cavs team led by LeBron James. When you look at the matchups, even the Bulls wouldn’t have the defensive answers to stop the Warriors dominant offensive machine.
Even if the two teams played by the old, defensively friendly rules from the Jordan era, it wouldn’t make any difference.
“I watched every Bulls playoff game. They don’t match up with this Warriors team.”
