The Pelicans haven’t been taking the Anthony Davis trade demand very well. They’ve refused to take calls from the Lakers about a potential deal, are threatening to sit him for the rest of the season if he stays with the team, and reportedly aren’t taking calls from the Lakers about a potential deal.
Colin compares the phases of a star demanding a trade to the phases of a divorce, and right now the Pelicans are in the bitterness phase. They would be better served by getting over it and moving to acceptance, so they can get on with their life.
