Paul George is laying the groundwork for his exit from Indiana

The Pacers are down 0-2 to the Cavs in their first round playoff series, and Colin thinks Paul George is already paving the way for his eventual exit from Indiana.

George made comments essentially throwing teammate CJ Miles under the bus for taking the last shot of Game 1. Last night, following the Pacers’ Game 2 loss, he called out Lance Stephenson for his out of control and sporadic play.

Colin sees it as typical behavior of someone in a relationship that wants out. They nit-pick and pick fights, so they can say it wasn’t their fault when they walk out the door.

George has one year left in Indiana, and he’s gone. He’s telling you right now, you just have to listen.

“This is what you do before the breakup…You can see this coming from a mile away.”

David Fizdale’s viral rant was factually wrong, but he wasn’t wrong for doing it

Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale went on a viral rant after losing to the Spurs last night. During his rant, he criticized officials for a disparity in foul calls and free throws, both of which were slanted heavily in favor of San Antonio. Fizdale cited a lack of respect for his team and him as a rookie head coach as the reason they didn’t get calls. Take that for data.

Colin thinks the coach is factually wrong in his argument because some players just don’t create contact and get to the line like others, but he understands his motivation in ripping the officials. Fizdale wanted to voice his opinion in the hopes the officials will give his team more calls later in the series. There’s nothing wrong with that. Even if he’s wrong.

“It’s a smart move by the coach, but nobody’s got anything against Memphis.”

Guests:

Byron Scott – Former Laker and Nets head coach and NBA champion is in-studio to talk about Magic as GM, and his take on Memphis Head Coach David Fizdale’s ‘Take that for data’ rant.

Pat Mahomes – NFL Draft quarterback prospect and former Texas Tech QB is in-studio to discuss the pre-draft process; when he first knew he had a cannon for an arm; why he stuck with football instead of going pro in baseball; and how he managed to play with a broken wrist.

Bob Kravitz – Indianapolis sports columnist joins the show to talk Pacers; if Paul George is leaving Indiana; how long Larry Bird will be around; the latest on Andrew Luck’s injured shoulder; and how much of his injury troubles are the Colts’ fault.
