Oklahoma was coaching scared in the Rose Bowl
Oklahoma lost to Georgia in a 2 overtime Rose Bowl classic, but Colin thinks the Sooners broke character by getting conservative with some questionable late game decisions. Colin rarely questions in game coaching, but a botched squib kick that resulted in a momentum sucking Georgia field goal to end the first half was a head scratcher, and instead of going for it on 4th and 1 and try to win the game, and putting the ball in the hands of Baker Mayfield, Lincoln Riley opted for a field goal that was blocked.
All year, the Sooners had swagger and imposed their will, for whatever reason, they went into a defensive mode last night against Georgia, and it cost them.
Joel Embiid doesn’t play enough to be considered an NBA star
Colin has had it with the fan boy NBA media’s love affair with Joel Embiid, and their determination to classify him as a star. Embiid’s ability is star-level, but he’s in his third NBA season, is still playing on a minutes restriction, and doesn’t play in back-to-backs.
For Colin, to be a star, you have have to be available to carry your team. That’s not Embiid. There’s a reason he’s so good at Twitter, it’s because he has so much time to practice while taking DNP’s.
