Oklahoma over Ohio State for CFB Playoff
The debate for the final spot in the College Football Playoff appears to be coming down to Ohio State or Oklahoma – assuming each team wins their conference championship game and Bama beats Georgia in the SEC title game – but Colin thinks the Sooners have the clear edge over the Buckeyes.
When comparing resumes between the one-loss teams, Ohio State has the scar of a 49-29 blowout loss to 6-6 Purdue, while Oklahoma has a loss to 9-3 Texas. Also, Oklahoma showed it can compete with SEC teams based on their playoff appearance last year. Without question, however, the Purdue loss is the biggest deciding factor, just like last year’s loss to mediocre Iowa that kept the Buckeyes on the outside looking in.
