Ohio State has a realistic path to the playoff if they win out
Ohio State has two losses on the year, but Colin thinks if they win out by beating Michigan and probable Big Ten Championship Game opponent, Wisconsin, they’ll be right in the playoff hunt when the committee makes its final selections.
Right now, the Buckeyes are ranked ninth, and 3 of the 5 teams they need to lose are guaranteed to drop, based on scheduling. If Oklahoma drops a rematch to TCU, OSU is likely in. Colin thinks the fact they still have a chance to get In is a great message from the selection committee that losses don’t eliminate teams with tough schedules.
UCLA should have cut ties with the Ball circus
LiAngelo Ball and his teammates are back on American soil after an embarrassing shoplifting incident during a team trip in China, and have been suspended indefinitely from the UCLA basketball team. Colin would have taken it a step further and used the opportunity to cut ties with the chaotic circus created by the Ball family.
With the most talented son, Lonzo, having already passed through, all that’s left is package deal scholarship recipient LiAngelo, and the inevitable endless media attention and distractions from LaVar. Future commit LaMelo’s actions indicate he may skip college altogether.
Steve Alford opted for a temporary suspension. Colin would have kicking LiAngelo off the team to ditch the headaches for good.
