OBJ was right to call out Eli’s awful play
Odell Beckham made headlines this weekend when he bluntly addressed the poor play of Eli Manning in an ESPN interview. Many have crushed OBJ for publicly commenting on his QB to the media, but Colin thinks he was within his rights to do it.
Colin has been critical of Beckham for being a head case throughout his career, but OBJ is also one of the few people in the Giants locker room who has the job security – after signing a massive new deal – to speak his mind without fear of getting cut. Even if the Giants and the New York media continue to treat Eli with kid gloves as his play continues to decline, Odell was right to try to address the most obvious issue with Giants.
Are the Eagles having fun now?
Eagles tackle Lane Johnson wasn’t shy about calling out the Patriots culture for being too much of a grind and not enough fun after they beat New England in the Super Bowl, but now Philly is sputtering at 2-3 and it doesn’t seem to be that much fun.
Colin has been critical of the critics of the New England culture because winning is all that matters in pro sports, and no one does it better than the Pats, even if it’s a grind. Philly may be fun, but it doesn’t look like they’re headed to another Super Bowl this year. Meanwhile Belichick and Brady will be there when it matters.
