Actions speak louder than words. In the NBA, players all say how much they love Carmelo Anthony, but now that he’s reportedly available, no one is beating down the Knicks’ door to trade for him. Even longtime friend LeBron James, who has recently complained about the Cavs roster, isn’t interested.
A recent article reported that the Cavs declined a trade offer from the Knicks of Anthony for Kevin Love. James has had his share of problems meshing with Love, but he apparently still prefers him to playing with Anthony. Everybody loves Carmelo Anthony…at the Olympics.
“Nobody wants to play with Derrick Rose. Nobody wants to play with John Wall. Nobody wants to play with Carmelo Anthony. Banana boat. Right. Yeah, sure. You bet.”
Dwyane Wade made comments after another Bulls loss that his teammates didn’t care enough about winning. Wade’s decision to move on to Chicago for a couple million dollars more than Miami was offering has been a disaster.
Wade left his home, a stable organization, and no state tax, to come to the rebuilding Bulls. Now he’s unhappy. Colin thinks that it’s fine if players want to take the money, but they have to deal with the repercussions when their teams don’t have the cap room to put together a supporting cast.
“You left your home for a nickel.”
