No thanks to an 8-team CFB Playoff
Just like every year, the final spot in the College Football playoff will be decided on conference championship weekend, and the debate is already raging over whether Ohio State or Oklahoma deserve the fourth spot. Along with the now yearly debate over who is deserving of the 4 spot is the chorus to expand the playoff from 4 to 8 teams, but Colin disagrees.
As it sits now, if the playoff was expanded to 8 teams vying for the final 3 spots would include Michigan – who just got stomped by Ohio State, UCF – who played a second rate schedule, and Florida – who has 3 bad losses. each of these teams doesn’t deserve a shot at the title and there would still be a mob of unhappy fans debating who was left out. More isn’t always better, and in this case 4 is enough.
