Mike Tomlin gets done in by the details
Colin has long been critical of Mike Tomlin-coached teams because they’re too emotional, lack attention to detail, and seem unprepared in late-game situations. Yesterday’s disappointing home-loss to Jacksonville was 3 hours of “Where Colin was Right,” in terms of Tomlin’s shortcomings as a coach.
Pittsburgh wasn’t ready to play and got buried by a 3-touchdown deficit early. Tomlin made head scratching playcalling decisions on short yardage fourth down plays, and dialed up a botched onside kick. All helped kill any momentum for a Pittsburgh comeback.
Tom Coughlin is the most underrated person in the NFL
After a 3-13 2016, the Jaguars are storming into the AFC Championship Game. With most of the same players on the roster, the biggest difference has been Tom Coughlin’s influence on the attitude and direction of the franchise.
