Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers were never a good match

A day after fired Packers coach Mike McCarthy made some coded comments about working with Aaron Rodgers, Bleacher Report published an article painting an ugly picture of McCarthy’s tenure in Green Bay and his dysfunctional relationship with Aaron Rodgers. The article goes into painstaking detail to show McCarthy was as huge part of the problem, and confirms what has been reported as Rodgers’ side of the story that McCarthy was a meatball.

Aside from the juicy details, the piece makes it clear that Rodgers and McCarthy’s egos and simmering resentment were never a good match to begin with, unlike other great coach/QB duos across the league. This marriage was doomed from the start.
