Lonzo Ball is underrated
Lonzo Ball has been a lightning rod for criticism during his brief tenure with the Lakers, thanks in no small part to the constant controversy created by his father LaVar, and a slow start shooting the ball. Even though many other top picks have struggled, Lonzo has been picked apart more than the rest because of his visibility, and some even think he should be traded.
Even though bashing Lonzo is in style, Colin argues that he’s actually underrated because he ranks in the Top 10 for NBA point guards in assists, rebounds, steals and blocks, and during a recent stretch when he missed time with an injury, the Lakers weren’t even competitive.
Big Ben’s legacy won’t take a hit with a loss this weekend
The Steelers face the Jags this weekend, after Jacksonville handed them their worst loss of the season in Week 5. Some are saying that if Ben Roethlisberger loses this playoff game it would negatively impact his overall legacy, but Colin disagrees.
He thinks Big Ben can still enhance his legacy with another Super Bowl win, but nothing that happens against the Jaguars will negatively impact it. Roethlisberger’s lasting impact of changing one of the legendary NFL organization’s identity from dominant defense to an offensive juggernaut, while still winning Super Bowls. That is set in stone.
