LeBron sent a message in Boston that the East is off-limits
The Cavs blew out the Celtics, 114-91, in what was billed as a battle for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Colin thinks the Cavs sent a clear message that no one in the Eastern Conference is anywhere close to being able to beat them, even if they’ve had an uneven regular season.
The reality is, the Cavs are finally getting healthy for the playoffs, have a deep bench, and the best two players in the East. Boston fans convinced themselves they were close. They’re not close. No one in the East is close.
With the playoffs set to start, it’s bad for the NBA that one of its conferences is all but decided. The only drama left is if the Warriors can make it back for the Finals grudge match against the Cavs.
Cleveland is just playing for different stuff now. They’re not playing to get home court advantage. They’re playing for history. LeBron’s trying to be the greatest player ever.”
Dustin Johnson is the most compelling golfer right now
More drama surrounded Dustin Johnson, after he revealed that he slipped and fell in a rental house and injured his back. He attempted to play in the Masters, but was forced to withdraw after one hole because of the injury.
Some have raised questions about the veracity of Johnson’s claims that he innocently fell in his house because of his history carousing and drug use. Colin thinks the drama surrounding Johnson makes him the most compelling golfer on the tour right now. He has a supermodel wife, hit’s it a mile, he can be erratic off the course, but most of all, he’s interesting.
There aren’t a lot of interesting personalities in the game right now.
Dustin Johnson is different. Tiger was different. And different is a really good thing, when everyone, historically, looks and plays the same.”
