LeBron is going to blow away MJ’s career stats
LeBron James just became the only player with 30,000 points, 8,000 rebounds and 8,000 assists, and hasn’t showed any sign of a drop in production in year 15.
Even though LeBron will likely never surpass Michael Jordan in career titles, he’s on pace to obliterate Jordan’s statistical records. Based on conservative estimates, accounting for a drop in production, LeBron should end up 1st in all-time scoring, and 3rd all-time in assists if he plays 5 more years.
Colin still agrees Jordan is the greatest player ever, but he was shot by year 14. In year 15 they’re making billboards recruiting LeBron in free agency.
Westbrook gets “The Golden Brick” for 3-point shooting
No player is more beloved by the stat-obsessed NBA media than Russell Westbrook. When making his MVP case, they cited his monster stat lines and triple doubles, but never acknowledge the bad stats.
Today, Colin pointed out that in February Westbrook shot 15% from three, while taking around 5 attempts a game. If stats matter like the NBA media says, this one should too.
