LeBron getting crushed because he’s more authentic than MJ
LeBron James has been taking plenty of heat and getting plenty of eyerolls for comments where he said beating the 73-9 Warriors in the 2016 Finals made him the greatest player of all-time.
Critics say James is needy and also point to an old Jordan interview where he wouldn’t call himself the G.O.A.T as a more dignified contrast to James’ proclamation, but Colin thinks MJ’s answer is
more due to his corporate nature than being overly humble.
Jordan also never had a 24/7 news debate constantly discussing the topic and no real challenger he needed to defend himself against. James lets people in with his social media and speaks in a far less filtered manner in his HBO show The Shop. Fans say they want more authentic, but this is just another example proving they don’t.
