Lakers need to give LeBron total control or trade him

Magic Johnson’s unexpected resignation leaves the Lakers at a crossroads of how they will proceed in the future, and Colin thinks they have two options. They either give LeBron total control like the Cavs did, or trade him and move on to another rebuild with whatever assets and free agents they can get.

When LeBron signed, the Lakers said the organization wouldn’t operate like Cleveland, but It’s clear at this point that the only way for them to succeed with LeBron is to copy the blueprint from the Cavs years, going forward.
