Kobe Bryant is Michael Jordan-lite
Kobe Bryant had multiple jerseys retired at Staples Center last night, and even though Colin thinks Kobe was a remarkable player, he thinks Bryant’s career will always be judged against the player he idolized and copied, Michael Jordan.
When considering all-time rankings, Colin believes the most remembered legends in any profession are the first that permanently transform it, like Jordan did to the NBA. Kobe was a great copy of Jordan, but it’s hard to rank the copy above the genuine article.
The reversed TD call is didn’t lose the game for the Steelers, Big Ben did
Steelers fans are still breaking stuff after getting their hearts ripped out after a disastrous end to the game against New England, but Colin thinks those blaming the loss on the controversial reversed Jesse James TD catch are reaching for the wrong scapegoat.
Just like Steve Bartman didn’t ACTUALLY cost the Cubs a trip to the World Series, the reversed TD didn’t call didn’t lose the game for Pittsburgh. The real blame should be placed on Big Ben and the offense looking completely unprepared after the review, and subsequently blowing the game with an unforgivable pick.
