KD will never catch LeBron
Kevin Durant is generally regarded as the second best player in the NBA, but recent comments throwing shade at LeBron James show his frustration at his inability to overtake him as he stacks titles with the loaded Warriors.
In Durant’s mind, he can still surpass LeBron if he wins enough titles, but Colin doesn’t think he’ll ever catch LeBron, regardless of what he does. LeBron will not only crush KD in a statistical comparison when it’s all said and done, but he’s also had a far greater impact on the business of the NBA and has been the unquestioned best player on every team he’s won a title with. Some would argue KD isn’t even the most important player on his own team, and the fact Golden State was already winning without him doesn’t help his case either. Just like some say LeBron is chasing a ghost in MJ, LeBron is Durant’s ghost to chase and one he’ll never catch.
