KD can erase the “second best” narrative by winning with the Knicks
It’s now clear that Kevin Durant has now surpassed LeBron James as the best basketball player in the NBA and the world. Colin has said he thinks Durant leaving the basketball utopia that is Golden State in free agency would be a bad decision, but today he defended one reason why KD may decide to split.
KD has always been treated as second best. From being the 2nd pick in the Draft, to the second choice in Oklahoma City, to being ranked 2nd to LeBron James up until this year. Staying with the Warriors would be the smartest move, but if KD bolts for the Knicks and can win a title, the “second best” narrative can be permanently put to bed.
