Just because the Falcons are undefeated doesn’t make them a Top 2 NFL team

The Falcons are undefeated, and Colin is taking heat for not giving them as much love as most when it comes to his power rankings. He doesn’t care.

He doesn’t rank teams solely based on their records, like some, because records alone don’t tell the entire story. Quite frankly, it’s lazy to rank teams just on record. Sure the Falcons have an impressive offense and haven’t lost a game, but if you dig just below the surface you find they could easily be 1-2, after squeaking by Detroit and Chicago, and gave up 400 yards to a shorthanded Green Bay.

Colin likes Atlanta, but he’s not going to be bullied into calling them the best team in the NFL, just because they haven’t lost yet. Last year, 5 teams started 3-0, 4 didn’t make the playoffs.

Give Colin the Cavs experience over Boston’s youth in the playoffs

Dwyane Wade officially joined the LeBron and the Cavs, and detractors are claiming Boston has the advantage in the Eastern Conference because of their youth.

Wade may be past his prime, and need to regularly rest during the regular season, but the NBA regular season is irrelevant, and as long as he’s ready to go once the playoffs start, he has experience that can help the Cavs win games.

Boston fans are really excited they have a supporting cast featuring second year guard Jaylen Brown and rookie Jayson Tatum to go with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. The problem is Brown can’t shoot, and there’s zero chance Tatum has a significant impact in the playoffs as a rookie.

Boston may have the youth, but give Colin the Cavs old roster in the playoffs, because that’s what wins.
